The European Festival Association Yourope is dedicated to improving the European festival scene in terms of working conditions, health and safety issues, environmental awareness and in promoting the cross-border exchange of live music talent. Developed in 2006, the Green’n’Clean Internet tool contains detailed information on how to manage and implement an environmentally friendly festival. Background information on environmental issues and environmental measures as well as practical checklists are available. The heart of the Green’n’Clean internet tool is a user interface that provides customised environmental measures to registered Yourope members. The Green’n’Clean tool supports environmentally sustainable decision-making and includes advice on related financial, partnership, communication and manageent issues.  A printed Green’n’Clean booklet informs on the basic idea of environment-friendly festivals and the most important measures involved that apply to all festivals. The booklet is distributed free of charge to all festival organizers throughout Europe.
